According to multiple reports, Bayern have accepted a bid from Barcelona which will total €50million (£42.5million) including add-ons.

After striking the deal, Lewandowski jetted out to Miami where Barcelona are enjoying a pre-season training camp.

It’s there that the 33-year-old met his teammates for the first time while they were dining, as the towering striker made his way around the room and shook hands with everyone.

Lewandowski has already spoken to the club’s official channels and couldn’t hide his delight at making the move.

He said: “Finally I am here and I am very happy to join Barcelona. The last few days were very long days but in the end the deal was done so now I am going to focus on a new chapter in my life and a new challenge.

“But I am still the guy who wants to win, not only the game but also the titles so I hope from the beginning of the season we will begin winning and go for the titles during the season and at the end of the season.

“I always wanted to play in LaLiga, I always wanted to play for the biggest clubs. It is the next step. Also for my private life, it was a new challenge. I know that it’s time to get Barcelona back on track and I am here to help them get back to the top and to winning as many titles as possible.”

Barcelona have signed one of the most prolific attackers in world football after netting 50 goals in all competitions for the German giants last term.

Lewandowski could make his debut for Barcelona when they face Inter Miami, who are owned by David Beckham, on Tuesday.
