Paris Saint-Germain could boast these TWO world-class XIs next season if they sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United as part of extraordinary transfer window which has has seen Sergio Ramos and Georginio Wijnaldum join July 21, 2021 – Posted in: Soccer
For all their riches, Paris Saint-Germain have never won the Champions League.
Despite owning the two most expensive footballers in history, the French giants have narrowly failed to claim the prize they want most every year since the club was bought by Qatar in 2011.
Nevertheless, the state-owned Ligue 1 side are throwing the kitchen sink at the transfer window this summer.
With Neymar, Mbappe and Angel Di Maria already among their ranks, PSG have previously boasted superstars such as Thiago Silva, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani, spending more than £1billion over a decade.
The next star of world football they wish to purchase is none other than Manchester United and France midfielder Paul Pogba.
For the umpteenth summer in succession, the 28-year-old is being linked with the Old Trafford exit door, and with his contract set to expire in 2022, the Red Devils may be forced to sell this time.
Pogba’s stock is high after a dazzling Euro 2020 campaign, despite his country’s shortcomings, and it is understood United may settle for £50m, cutting their losses after re-signing the Frenchman for £94m in 2016.
It would take PSG’s summer spend over the £100m mark, following the £54m arrival of Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan and £14m signing of Danilo Pereira from Porto.

However, the Ligue 1 champions have actually been quite shrewd with their money this summer, landing a number of incredible free transfers.
Sergio Ramos remains one of the world’s most fearsome defenders and joins after a 16-year career at Real Madrid.
Former Liverpool star Georginio Wijnaldum, who proved his continued worth for the Netherlands at Euro 2020, has been signed by PSG for nothing.
And most impressive of all, they got the world’s best young goalkeeper for free by snapping up Gianluigi Donnarumma fresh off the back of his Euro 2020 heroics.
With or without Pogba, PSG will boast a pretty extraordinary side next season.
In fact, they could have two totally different XIs at their disposal, both perfectly capable of challenging for Europe’s top prizes…

PSG’s possible back-up XI
The likes of Ander Herrera and Idrissa Gueye can’t even get in the back-up XI!
Long story short, PSG will take some beating next season, whichever team they pick.
