Juventus’ game with Salernitana in Serie A wouldn’t have struck fans as being one of football’s more exciting ties.
But Sunday’s 2-2 draw between the sides will be remembered as a classic after the game saw some incredible late drama.
And just as the Old Lady looked to be falling to their first defeat in the league this campaign, chaos ensued.
After halving the deficit in the 51st minute through a thumping header from centre-back Gleison Bremer, Juve pushed for an equaliser.
Trailing 2-1 going into added time, Massimiliano Allegri’s side finally cancelled out Salernitana’s first half goals, with Italy captain Leonardo Bonucci volleying past Luigi Sepe in the 93rd minute after seeing a penalty saved.
But Juve weren’t done there, as the Turin outfit went on to score what they thought was the winner just three minutes later.
And the chaos that ensued after as a result will go down in Serie A history.
Arkadiusz Milik headed home and immediately whipped off his shirt in celebration, despite already having a booking to his name.
A second was issued and followed swiftly by a red, along with a VAR check which promptly ruled out the game-winner.
Players from both sides then clashed with former Chelsea and Tottenham stars Juan Cuadrado and Federico Fazio also red carded, for Juventus and Salernitana, respectively.
Massimiliano Allegri, manager of Juve, was also sent off in the melee.
Three red cards, a winning goal ruled offside and players brawls all inside two minutes – it was some finale for the Serie A clash.
Juventus’s draw leaves them seventh in the league, with two wins in six under their belt in the Italian top flight this season.
