Jurgen Klopp’s side face Manchester United, Crystal Palace and RB Leipzig before Community Shield against Man City, Reds add new fixture against RB Salzburg June 28, 2022 – Posted in: Soccer

Liverpool’s players will report back for duty in early July as Jurgen Klopp prepares for coming season.

The likes of Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and Luis Diaz are all expected to be there, with others arriving later because of international commitments.

Can Liverpool add more silverware this year?

Due to the Champions League final, Reds players have been given extra time off ahead of the new campaign.

However, it is possible that the first time Liverpool fans see Darwin Nunez will be against Manchester United in their pre-season schedule.

The Reds then face Crystal Palace before a match in Germany against RB Leipzig.

Liverpool have added another fixture against RB Salzburg.

So, Klopp’s men now have four games before they play Manchester City in the Community Shield at the King Power on Saturday, July 31.

Then just over 24 hours after that, the Reds host French side Strasbourg at Anfield.

Liverpool’s pre-season schedule

Manchester United – Tuesday, July 12, 14:00 – Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok

Crystal Palace – Friday, July 15, 13:35 – Singapore National Stadium, Singapore

RB Leipzig – Thursday, July 21, 18:15 – Red Bull Arena, Leipzig

RB Salzburg – Wednesday, July 26, 7 – Red Bull Arena, Salzburg

Manchester City – Saturday, July 30, 17:00 – King Power Stadium, Leicester

Strasbourg – Sunday, July 31, 19:30 – Anfield, Liverpool

Overall, Liverpool are playing some top quality sides that should allow them to test out their new signings and prepare for the new year.

But because of the Champions League final and international matches this month, it does feel as if their pre-season will be a bit disrupted.

Klopp and co then get their 2022/23 Premier League season underway with a trip to Fulham.

They then host Palace the weekend after before a trip to United in the top-flight on August 20.

Liverpool have yet to confirm broadcasting details for their pre-season fixtures.

However, it is safe to assume that the matches will be available on LFCTV, as they have been in the past.

But the Community Shield will be broadcast on ITV meaning it will be free to air.
