As part of their plans to rebuild, Everton have been tasked with raising funds, something that they managed by offloading Richarlison to Tottenham for a fee reported to be in the region of £60million.

As a result the club are looking for a new striker with Broja among those targeted, Sky Sports reports.

The 20-year-old came through the youth ranks with Chelsea and made his break into English football in the 2021/22 season with a loan spell at Southampton.

During his time on the south coast, Broja managed nine goals in 38 appearances in all competitions, an impressive tally given his tender age.

As a result, interest has been building in the Blues’ starlet with the likes of West Ham United and Newcastle also linked with a move.

The Hammers are one of a number of clubs looking for a striker ahead of the new season and according to Anton Ferdinand, Broja has all of the qualities needed to be a success.

Asked if a move for Broja would appeal, Ferdinand told The Boot Room: “Yeah I do.

“He’s not as quick as [Michail] Antonio but in terms of hold up play and being a focal point of a team, he’s got the attributes to be that.

“For the way that West Ham play, I see it being a good fit and as he proved in the first half of last season, he knows where the goal is.”
