Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence felt as Josh Maja’s brace sees Fulham beat Everton, who miss chance to go level on points with Liverpool February 14, 2021 – Posted in: Soccer
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s absence was felt as Everton were beaten 2-0 at home to struggling Fulham on Sunday.
The Toffees striker, who has scored 18 goals this season, was ruled out of the clash with a hamstring injury as Carlo Ancelotti’s side extended their winless Premier League run at Goodison Park to four games.
Josh Maja, who was making his full Fulham debut since joining on loan from Bordeaux in the January transfer window, scored a second-half brace to secure a first league win in 13 matches for Scott Parker’s men.
The result saw Everton miss the chance to go level on points with fourth-placed Liverpool, while Fulham are now seven points from safety.
