The 30-year-old was left out of Tottenham’s Premier League and Europa League squads this season and has been turning out for the club’s development side.

Rose, who is the club’s longest serving player, went out on loan to Newcastle in January last season following a heated meeting with Mourinho, all of which were caught by Amazon’s All or Nothing cameras.

His contract expires at the end of the season and Spurs were considering buying out the England international’s current deal for £2.4million.

However, Turkish club Trabzonspor believe they have reached an agreement to sign Rose to join a number of other England players at the club.

Chelsea’s Lewis Baker and Stoke’s Benik Afobe are both on loan with the Super Lig side, while Daniel Sturridge signed for them in 2019 before terminating his contract.

West Brom had been linked with a move for Rose to add some much needed experience to Sam Allardyce’s squad, but the player appears to favour a move abroad.
