The Portgual legend, who is close friends with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and UFC star Conor McGregor, uses boxing to keep himself in prime condition at 35.

The 38-year-old boxer showed Ronaldo a thing or two before the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had a go on the punch bag.

“Playing football is my passion, but I prefer watching other sports on TV,” Ronaldo told Golovkin in a DAZN documentary titled ‘Parallel Worlds’.

“Between watching a football match or a boxing or UFC fight, I choose boxing or UFC.”

Ronaldo added: “When I was at Manchester United, a coach boxed with me.

“I think practising boxing is useful for football because it sharpens your senses and you learn to move.”
